About Flavio

Dr. Flavio Balerini Souza-Campos is the founder of the Hypnotherapy and Counseling Center in Miami, Florida. Flavio studied engineering and philosophy at Florida International University. His Ph.D. is in biomedical engineering. Later he attended medical school. He started practicing hypnotherapy in 1996, established the Miami chapter of IACT in 1998 and was awarded the IACT Humanitarian award in 2000. Flavio practices hypnotherapy full time, and offers a number of online programs. Flavio trained and certified over 3000 hypnotherapy students. 

The above is not what makes working with Flavio special, however. Flavio has worked with over 12000 people one on one, for transformative, in-depth hypnotherapy. People describe Flavio as extremely empathetic, non-judgmental, understanding, and effective at achieving results for his clients. Most likely, Flavio says, therapeutic empathy comes from having had all kinds of problems myself, and overcome them.

I started off as an engineer. I always had a passion for teaching, first as an Engineering Instructor at Florida International University and later at Aranegui Institute. I studied philosophy and hypnotherapy initially as hobby. Later I discovered that I have a mission: to help people get in touch with their REAL selves. Embarking on this journey along with students, clients and friends who are also seeking their REAL selves has been the biggest blessing of my life. Each day I too chip away fragments of what is not REAL about me and discover more joy. I am looking forward to meeting you and having a part in your journey as well.

    I help people get in touch with their REAL selves. Since we see all problems as a reflection of NOT being who we really are, it follows that I can help you solve any difficulty you are facing. This is true because the instant you recognize a problem in your life you already have the solution deep within. I help you find the solution within yourself.

    We have students in 126 countries and I conduct online sessions all over the world on a daily basis. I work fluently in English, Spanish and Portuguese. No matter where you are, if you have internet access we can talk and begin our journey together.

  • PERSONALIZED HEALING

    The healing journey started in 1996 in a borrowed office. I did my best to help acquaintances, and soon their relatives and friends were coming over. I left a job at the University to practice hypnotherapy full-time. Many successful hypnotherapists are trained by me; and the community keeps on growing. I offer personalized 1-on-1 healing for those that feel that their time has come.
